百度称，欧洲杯期间，百度搜索新闻源站点遭遇了空前严重的“被黑”，不仅资讯类站点成为重灾区，许多原本安全防护工作较好的大型站点也被黑并注入垃圾页面。
据7月22日百度搜索后台监控数据显示，短短10分钟便有18家站点的被黑页面达到其总体的80%以上，其中不乏高质量的新闻网站。为此，百度新闻源运营团队发起了清理被黑新闻源专项行动，捍卫搜索体验。
百度表示，眼下奥运会将至，为了保证网民可以检索到实时正确的赛事信息，百度搜索继续加大对被黑新闻源站点的处理，并不定期通过公告进行公示，通告站点整改网站。同时严厉打击新闻资源重复低质量商业软文、发布违规内容的行为。百度搜索希望通过这些举措，抑制低质不良信息，还网民一个干净流畅的搜索体验。
