另外一家直播平台巨头YY(欢聚时代),则早在2014年就推出了独立教育品牌“100教育”,从在线留学英语培训切入在线教育。据悉,“100教育”最重要的板块在于其包括托福、雅思领域的在线强化班。更值得一提的是,除了“教育100”,YY还斥资1000万投资了在线教育的平台——邢帅教育。

而紧盯着在线教育直播市场的巨头企业远非YY一家,淘宝推出“电商化”的在线教育平台“淘宝同学”目前已上线直播功能;阿里领投真人教育在线平台TutorGroup;百度350万美元战略投资传课网;腾讯QQ群新增视频教育功能……互联网BAT三大鳄都在暗自划定在线教育的势力范围

一位在线教育资深人士向记者表示,当前资本市场相当活跃,市场空间大,技术改革步伐加快,在线教育事业已进入一个指数增长的时期,而直播模式将加快其增长速度。“直播平台拓展教育直播领域,主要是为了实现内容的多元化发展,进一步提高用户粘性。”
