　　上午10时许，记者再次进入马店矸石发电有限责任公司厂区时，虽然目前现场搜救工作已经完成，但是安全排查工作仍在进行，发生事故的厂房前仍有警方警戒。

　　事故核心现场位于该厂房内一处狭长型的办公操作区域，操作间与发生破裂的高压蒸汽管道仅一墙之隔。

　　事故发生时，操作间外一根银白色的蒸汽管道破裂，巨大蒸汽和冲击波将操作间的玻璃全部震碎，天花板破损严重，桌椅东倒西歪，现场一片狼藉。

　　记者在现场看到，金属的电脑、空调、门窗等物品均扭曲变形。

　　据了解，事发时共有20多人在操作间内作业，进行热能调试工作时发生了蒸汽管破裂。据现场一位工作人员透露，外泄的高压蒸汽温度达500多摄氏度，现场无明火。

　　同时，当阳市成立了多个工作专班，每个专班由当阳市相关部门参加，做好对接安抚工作。
