据台湾联合新闻网8月12日报道，WADA表示，本周、亦即奥运期间得知资料库遭锁定，不过还不确定明确入侵时间为何。
WADA公关专员杜兰德（Maggie Durand）透过电子邮件告诉美联社：“WADA接获通知，一段Youtube影片内容声称WADA网站已遭黑。不过经调查后，我们确定网站未受损害，但我们仍持续监控黑客行动”。
杜兰德表示，纪录禁药检测结果的“运动禁药管制行政管理系统”资料库（ADAMS）并未受损，不过系统使用者陆续收到假冒为WADA官方的网络钓鱼邮件，要求使用者提供登入资讯。
目前WADA并未宣布接到钓鱼邮件的人数，也没有回应是否有选手遭锁定，也未公布万一资料外泄，会如何处理。WADA表示，已向所有资料库使用者告知钓鱼邮件的企图，也在网站上贴出公告作为警示。
选手会从线上资料库，连上名为Whereabouts（行踪）的资讯平台，以便药检单位随时找得到人检验。若黑客获得选手的登入资讯，可更改资料，让药检人员扑空，可能导致选手背负错过药检的指责。
