　　8月16日下午，中国人民解放军陆军司令员李作成上将在八一大楼与来访的美国陆军参谋长马克·米莱上将举行了会谈。

　　李作成说，中国和美国共同致力于发展“不冲突不对抗、相互尊重、合作共赢”的新型大国关系。两军关系对两国关系的健康稳定发展作出了积极贡献。希望两军加 强合作、妥处分歧、管控风险。两国陆军之间建立的交流与对话机制，对于规范和促进两国陆军合作发挥了重要作用。当前，南海、台海问题和美韩宣布将在韩部署 “萨德”系统都是极易影响中国和美国关系的问题，希望美方予以高度重视并妥善处理。

　　米莱表示，希望美中两军继续加强交流与合作，增进彼此信任，进一步推动两国陆军关系健康良性发展。

　　会谈开始前，李作成为米莱举行欢迎仪式，并陪同检阅了中国人民解放军陆军仪仗队。
