　　当天7时整，提前预约购票的中外游客在工作人员的指引下，经过验票、安检、穿鞋套等程序后，有序地登上桥面。蓝天之下、青山之间、峡谷之巅，玻璃桥像一条透明的飘带如梦似幻。站在桥面，低头俯视，万丈峡谷尽收眼底；举目远眺，绝壁瀑布相映成趣。如此壮观的场景，令前来体验观光的中外游客惊叹折服。

　　选址在张家界大峡谷风景区栗树垭和吴王坡区域内的这座玻璃桥长430米、宽6米，桥面铺设了99块三层叠加而成的钢化玻璃，厚度仅0.6米，创造了世界最长、世界最高、世界首座玻璃作为主受力结构的大型桥梁等多项“世界之最”。
