　　据中国中央银行网站资料显示，张涛，男，1963年12月出生。先后毕业于清华大学自动化系、清华大学经济管理学院和美国加利福尼亚大学（圣克鲁斯分校）。经济学博士。

　　1995年1月—2004年6月，先后在世界银行总部和亚洲开发银行总部从事经济研究和发展援助工作；2004年6月—2007年3月，任中国人民银行研究局副局长；2007年3月—2008年3月，任中国人民银行国际司（港澳台办公室） 副司长（副主任）；2008年3月—2010年4月，任中国人民银行调查统计司司长；2010年4月—2010年8月，任中国人民银行调查统计司司长兼国际司（港澳台办公室）司长（主任）、上海总部国际部主任；2010年8月—2011年8月，任中国人民银行国际司（港澳台办公室）司长（主任）兼上海总部国际部主任；2011年8月—2014年12月，任驻国际货币基金组织中国执行董事、中国人民银行条法司司长（2014年8月任）；2014年12月—2016年5月，任中国人民银行条法司司长；2016年4月，任中国人民银行党委委员；2016年5月，任中国人民银行副行长。
