完美公司称，原告于2006年从小说作家张戬处获得小说《诛仙》及其元素的游戏独占改编权，自2007年起上线发行了《诛仙》、《梦幻诛仙2》、《诛仙3》等系列游戏，为此支付了巨额授权费。2016年7月28日，华多公司运营的《青云志》网页游戏上线，华多公司未经原告许可，在游戏中擅自大量使用了《诛仙》小说人物、场景，如“张小凡”、“碧瑶”、“陆雪琪”、“田不易”、“小灰”、“苍松道人”、“水麒麟”、“青云派”、“空桑山”等。
