明星企业偷排含重金属废水，3人被提起公诉
大江化工位于江都区宜陵镇，新通扬运河河畔，年产值达4亿，是当地的明星企业。公司法定代表人李玉江，大学毕业后先当教师后来创办企业，今年50岁的他，一度被认为是“年轻有为的企业家”。
法院经审理查明，2000年以来，李玉江安排工人在公司内铺设暗管，将公司生产过程中产生的废水，通过暗管排放至公司门口的新通扬运河。2011年新环保法实施后，仍不收敛，继续偷排。2011年5月-2014年5月，李玉江安排该公司的盛某、徐某等人，将公司生产过程中产生的废水，先储存于公司内一大一小两个污水池中，再通过泵打、虹吸等方式，将含有重金属镉、汞的废水，通过暗管排放至新通扬运河中。为了掩人耳目，污水池上面还加了盖子，又摆上了空桶。
现代快报记者了解到，盛某系该公司负责污水处理的管理人员，负责安排徐某等人排放废水；徐某系直接排放人员。经江苏省泰州市环境监测中心站检测并经江苏省环保厅认可，大江化工两个暗池内的废水，含有重金属镉、汞，属于有毒有害物质。
以上三人因涉嫌环境污染罪，被提起公诉。

庭审中，李玉江承认自己先后向9名官员多次行贿，共计275万元。
鉴于案情重大，该案审判长由高邮法院党组书记、院长韩雪峰担任，法院将择日宣判。

“‘5·14’新通扬运河水质异常事件发生后，我比较害怕，就在2014年7月14日委托张某将人民币40000元缴至江都市惩治腐败廉政建设领导小组办公室账户，这样能让我心安一些。”马宝民供述称，被立案调查后，他也积极主动配合调查。
高邮法院最终以受贿罪，判处马宝民有期徒刑5年，并没收相应的个人财产。
江都区环保局原副局长王四扣 获刑6年
2009年到2014年，江都区环保局原副局长王四扣先后受贿51次，绝大多数为春节前企业所送节礼。令人唏嘘的是，法院判决书上显示，被告王四扣早在1997年就担任江都环保局副局长一职，此前一直清清白白，最后却没守住底线，晚节不保。不但别人对此唏嘘不已，就连王四扣本人也悔不当初。
法院审理查明，在职期间王四扣先后受贿30.2万元，被高邮法院判处有期徒刑6年。
江都区水务局原局长谭在美 获刑7年
2014年7月16日，仪征市人民检察院依法对扬州市江都区水务局局长谭在美涉嫌非法批准征用、占用土地罪、受贿罪立案侦查，并对其采取强制措施。2002年11月至2010年1月，他曾担任江都市宜陵镇党委书记。李玉江在法庭上承认，这期间曾向谭在美行贿，希望他给予关心。
高邮法院审理查明，谭在美任职期间先后收受辖区企业及下属单位人员52.1万元，为不法企业和个人大开方便之门。法院判处其有期徒刑7年，并处没收个人财产人民币20万元。
