7月10日，某互联网公司一工程师到福田公安分局八卦岭派出所报案称，一家注册于2009年4月份销售二手手机的网店，从2016年4月份开始，通过向在其网店购买了二手手机的客户群发短信或打电话，谎称之前售卖的手机存在质量问题、可能会发生爆炸等问题，以维修或更换为借口要求买家将手机邮寄回来，再以折旧费为由要求买家在网上转账200元人民币。嫌疑人收到手机及钱款后，立即将客户拉黑，以此牟利。
接案后，八卦岭派出所联合福田公安分局刑警大队成立专案组，立即对此案展开侦查。根据报案人提供线索，办案民警了解到，该公司核实已有多人将手机寄回给嫌疑人而上当被骗，涉案金额约40万元人民币。

经查，方某、庄某、张某等5名嫌疑人对其诈骗多名事主钱财的犯罪事实供认不讳。据嫌疑人交代，方某是网店主管，庄某、张某等三人是网络客服，还有一名负责收发货嫌疑人，该团伙以居住地为办公场所进行诈骗，分工明确，诈骗得手后会将所骗钱财进行分配。目前，福田警方已依法将方某、庄某、张某等5名嫌疑人刑事拘留。
