刘纪春的名字是毛泽东改的。

说到名字时，毛泽东询问：“纪念春天，你是春天出生的吧？”刘纪春回答：“我出生时，正是日军在华北最凶残的时候。”听了这话，毛泽东说了一句：“那是黎明前的黑暗。”

靠着118厅，毛泽东出席了其人生的最后一次党代会开幕式。
1973年8月，毛泽东已经行走不便且供氧不足。为保证其出席中国共产党第十次全国代表大会开幕式，周恩来在征得同意后，亲自将118厅布置为毛泽东的临时住地，然后安排医护人员在该厅地下室设立一个随时可应急的供氧中心，在118厅至大会堂主席台之间搭设了一条供氧管路。
8月24日，党代会开幕，毛泽东安然无恙地坐在主席台上。
作为毛泽东身边的工作人员，李志芬曾陪同毛泽东后人出席过多次活动。
2013年4月25日，河北省邯郸市临漳县刘广营村毛泽东铜像广场举行揭像仪式，李志芬、吴连登陪同毛泽东女儿李讷、女婿王景清、侄女毛小青出席揭幕式。
该年9月9日，李志芬还与毛新宇、刘滨等人一起，到毛主席纪念堂纪念毛泽东逝世37周年。
