　　中新网防城港8月29日电 （李敏军 赵华斌 余振）广西防城港边防支队29日披露，本月28日凌晨，东兴边防大队官兵在巡逻中，于边境一处码头查获国家一级保护动物暹罗鳄鱼宝宝940条。

　　28日凌晨1时许，边防官兵在边境一线进行例行巡逻时，经过东兴镇大田村北透组大湾潭码头附近，听到水边持续传来“啾啾”的动物叫声，引起了巡逻官兵的警觉，经检查，码头边上放置了两个白色泡沫箱内，里面有捆扎好的塑料篮子，篮子里装满了活体鳄鱼宝宝。

　　经检查清点，这批鳄鱼宝宝属于国家一级保护动物暹罗鳄鱼，共940条。经走访周边群众，并无人认领这批活体鳄鱼宝宝，边防官兵遂联系当地林业部门。

　　据当地林业局负责人介绍，暹罗鳄主要栖息于热带及亚热带地区的沼泽地、湖泊等淡水水域以及咸淡水水域。此次查获的940条鳄鱼宝宝每条长约25厘米，刚出生15天左右，卖入内地后很可能是用来养殖或当做宠物饲养。

　　据了解，中国允许暹罗鳄养殖，必须办理养殖手续和运输手续，需要通过相关部门进行严格的审批，否则都属于非法养殖和贩卖。

　　目前，案件已经移交当地林业部门处理。
