新浪将向新浪普通股的持有者配送微博的A类普通股，比例为每持有10股新浪普通股将配送1股微博A类普通股。持有通过DTC(存管信托公司)结算的新浪普通股股东将收到对应数量的微博A类普通股，具体形式为微博的ADS。

本次微博股票的配送日为2016年10月12日或其前后数日，配送对象为2016年9月12日工作日结束前登记的新浪股东。完成微博股票的配送后，新浪在微博的持股比例将由目前的约54%(投票权比例约为78%)，降至约51%(投票权比例降至约75%)。
