中国体育总局原副局长肖天被控受贿796万 当庭认罪
新京报讯 (记者孙海光)河南省南阳市中级人民法院昨日一审公开开庭审理了国家体育总局原副局长肖天受贿一案，肖天被控受贿796万元。庭审结束后，肖天当庭表示认罪、悔罪。
南阳市人民检察院指控：1997年至2014年，被告人肖天利用其担任国家体育总局冬季运动管理中心主任、竞技体育司司长、局长助理、副局长等职务上的便利，或者利用职权和地位形成的便利条件，为有关单位和个人在工程承揽、赛事承办、工作安排、职务晋升等事项上提供帮助，收受相关人员给予的财物共计折合人民币796万余元。应当以受贿罪追究肖天的刑事责任。
庭审中，检察机关出示相关证据，肖天及其辩护人进行质证，控辩双方充分发表了意见，肖天进行最后陈述时当庭表示认罪、悔罪。庭审结束后法庭宣布休庭，择期宣判。
击剑运动员出身的肖天曾任国家体委击剑处处长、自行车击剑运动管理中心主任、冬季运动管理中心主任、国家体育总局竞技体育司司长、国家体育总局局长助理、副局长等职。
2015年6月25日，中纪委发布消息，肖天涉嫌严重违纪违法，接受组织调查。2016年6月，该案由中国最高人民检察院指定河南省检察院侦查终结后，移送河南省南阳市检察院审查起诉。
