　　昨晚，美丽的西子湖畔记录了中国和美国两国元首的西湖之约——习近平在杭州西湖国宾馆会见了前来参加G20杭州峰会的美国总统奥巴马。

　　从安纳伯格庄园会晤到中南海瀛台夜话，再到秋夜白宫花园散步，习近平与奥巴马每次长谈的地点，都颇用心思、颇有深意。此次“习奥会”的地点西湖国宾馆，又有何故事呢？

　　西湖国宾馆有何来头？

　　杭州西湖国宾馆的前身是由刘庄、康庄（康有为）、韩庄等几大庄园构建而成，其中规模最大的是刘庄，距今已有一百多年的历史。

　　西湖国宾馆位于西湖的西面，三面临西湖，背枕丁家山，占地36万平方米，庭院内小桥流水、曲廊通幽，建筑精致、一步一景，再加之丰富的人文景观而冠居“西湖第一名园”！

　　西湖国宾馆始于刘庄。1898年，晚清广东富豪刘学询购置了紧傍西湖的大片土地，历时8年、耗资十余万银两，于1905年底完成了这一浩繁的工程，取名“水竹居”，也就是后来的“刘庄”。

　　刘庄在建成后的半个多世纪里，命运多舛。它曾被大清银行查封拍卖过，也被民国政府没收过，被康有为短暂地“占领”过，又被刘学询赎回过，最后，1953年，“水竹居”的最后一位主人、刘学询的八姨太范媛英将刘庄献给国家，刘庄遂被定为浙江省第一招待所。

　　有历史的地方，有意义的会面

　　作为杭州接待外宾的重要场所，西湖国宾馆曾迎来包括尼克松、布什、曼德拉在内的四十多位外国元首和政要，见证了许多中国现代史的重要时刻。

　　1953年12月27日，毛泽东率领宪法起草小组成员等抵达杭州，第一次住进刘庄一号楼（西湖国宾馆前身）。毛泽东在此期间，调集了国内的专家，在刘庄起草新中国的第一部宪法草案。

　　毛主席入住时，康有为所建的“一天园”还未被并入刘庄。主席住的那栋房子甚至是临时腾出来的。现在，那栋楼是西湖国宾馆一号楼，楼外一株红梅盛开。走出几步便能看见一片湖光山水，岸边的石头上，红字刻着“毛泽东赏雪处”。60年前，毛泽东正是在此处信步湖畔，思考第一部宪法的章节。

　　1954年3月14日，新中国第一部宪法草案初稿在刘庄诞生。1954年9月，第一届全国人民代表大会第一次会议一致通过了共和国第一部宪法。

　　1972年2月26日，由周恩来总理和中国外交部副部长乔冠华携尼克松总统、国务卿基辛格一行，在刘庄（即西湖国宾馆）就《中国和美国联合公报》的文本作举世瞩目的最后商定。

　　湖水泱泱，飞鸟瑟瑟，刘庄，能在中国与美国建交史上扮演这样一个不二角色，这是它的故主刘学询永远也不会想到的。

　　1972年2月27日，《中国和美国联合公报》在西湖国宾馆1号楼的八角亭草签；1972年2月28日，中国和美国双方在上海联合发表公报（即《上海公报》），震惊世界；公报的发表，同时亦标志着中国和美国两国在对抗了20多年之后，开始走向历史性的崭新阶段。

44年前时任美国总统尼克松到访杭州并游览西湖。

　　时光飞转，岁月轮回，44年后，中国和美国两国元首在这个对中国和美国关系具有历史意义的地方会面，并且坦诚讨论分歧，探讨利益交汇合作方向，为未来的中国和美国关系起到了一个好作用。

　　这些不平凡的岁月，让西湖国宾馆成为中国历史上一个美丽的注脚，也为西湖平添了一份历经岁月后的从容与厚重。
