笔者在这个片单中,发现了3个值得我们关注的特征。

特征一:引进的日本电影数量成倍地增长从2006年开始,除了一小部分的中国和日本合拍片之外,被正版引进到中国的日本电影数量一直都非常稀少。数量最多的年份是2009年和2011年,这两年都分别引进了4部,最惨的是2013、2014年这两年,干脆就没有引进任何日本电影。

可以说,2016年在中国上映的9部日本电影,已经呈现出了大幅增长的态势。而出现这种现象的原因主要是来源于电影市场的变化

从中国电影市场的大环境来说,表现疲软的电影市场似乎已经将潜力透支殆尽,2016全年突破600亿票房的目标已经难以实现。此外,截止2015年,中国影院数量已经超过6000家,银幕数量超过3万块,高速发展的电影行业也导致了对内容的巨大需求。

在今年引进的9部日本电影中,除《垫底辣妹》之外的8部电影均是与二次元有关。这也从侧面反映了,在电影行业不断膨胀的大背景下,以日本电影为代表的细分领域开始获得了市场的关注,更多的二次元相关的电影也自然地获得了更多的发展机会。

特征二:有着巨大影响力的内容这些被引进的日本电影还有一个显著的特点,就是它们都是在中国都拥有一定的影响力,也有制造市场话题讨论的潜力。

目前在中国的电影荧幕上,已经集结了火影忍者、航海王等知名日本动漫作品,这些作品的最大特征就在于它们早已被中国的年轻观众所熟知,根本无所谓二次元还是三次元。有消息指出,像《机动战士高达》、《银魂》等名作的剧场版动画,也已经有公司想要引进。

而像同样在日本本土获得市场广泛关注的《Love Live!》、《少女与战车》、《福音战士新剧场版》等电影系列作品,却因为过于核心向,其实并不是批片方的首选

在这些上映的日本电影中,最值得一提的是与《星际迷航》同一天上映的《寄生兽》,这部漫改真人电影因为有过多的血腥暴力镜头,在日本其实是被列为18禁。国内上映的版本是经过重新剪辑“和谐”,将上下两部电影二合一的恐怖电影作品,也是近年来在中国上映的首部18禁电影。但是从点映观众的评价上看,虽然经过剪辑,但暴力镜头仍然存在,这部电影在市场上能获得怎样的口碑和市场反应,其实非常值得我们关注。

特征三:低成本和低风险并行目前,中国的电影市场目前仍然是以好莱坞为主,这些日本电影在被引进的过程中,引进方显得非常的谨慎。

最明显的特征就是,这些被引进的日本电影,有相当一部分其实是个“老电影”。《火影忍者博人传》、《垫底辣妹》、《圣斗士星矢:圣域传说》、《寄生兽》、《樱桃小丸子:来自意大利的少年》、《龙珠Z:复活的F》,这些电影其实早就在日本上映并发售了BD/DVD,不少粉丝也早已通过各种盗版资源看完了这些电影。

“老电影”的好处有二。一是早已经过市场的验证,几乎所有引进的电影票房均在20亿日元以上,这个成绩在日本电影市场中已经是相当不错的了。二是因为早已在日本下映,BD/DVD这类实体光盘也销售得差不多了,引进价格其实相当便宜

而像《圣斗士星矢:圣域传说》虽然在日本本土的票房不佳,但无奈中国地区的死忠粉丝多,在低成本的批片成本下,最终获得的3776万票房可谓是收益丰厚。

值得注意的是,《哆啦A梦:新·大雄的日本诞生》、《名侦探柯南:纯黑的噩梦》、《航海王:GOLD》这三部动画电影很有可能并不会像其他引进的日本电影那样“物美价廉”,它们被引进更多的是因为这些IP在中国早已经过多年运作,有良好的粉丝与市场运作经验。虽然成本可能会高一些,但总体风险仍然是比较容易控制的。

曾有消息指出,在电影批片市场,购买日本版权的价格仍然停留在2010年之前的十几万到几百万美金的水平,而美国电影早已水涨船高,甚至可以达到一千万美元,日本电影在现在的中国电影市场环境中,无疑有着非常高的性价比。

这三种特征,说明了随着年轻观众的成长,片商们已经越来越看重年轻观众的喜好,他们在选片的过程中更看重的是观众的口味,而不是一味追求好莱坞的大片和大制作。除了这些日本电影之外,此前花费几十万美元引进,最终收获6000万票房的俄罗斯电影《他是龙》,也是针对年轻观众口味的进一步筛选。

此外,较低的批片成本也能为这些电影公司积累更多的经验值。比如优酷土豆就公开了是《火影忍者博人传》投资引进方之一,而《樱桃小丸子:来自意大利的少年》则有爱奇艺的参与。这些幕后公司的“协助推广”经验,一方面将缩短日本电影在中国的上映时间差,另一方面也将会对这些幕后公司在今后的自有IP电影项目产生积极的作用。

有趣的是,正常情况下批片的指标是每年大约30个左右,然而有消息指出,由于今年日本电影的批片申请太多,有关部门正研究是否要给新申请的日本批片放行。可以预见的是,我们将会看到更多的日本电影在中国上映,而这种市场结构的改变,不仅对中国的二次元们是一个利好,也会在潜移默化中改变中国电影的市场格局。
