财新记者从西部数据获悉，合资公司将在中国设立，在中国营销西部数据现有的数据中心存储系统，并在未来为中国市场开发数据中心存储解决方案。
根据紫光股份公告，合资公司暂定名称为紫光西部数据有限公司，注册资金1.58亿美元。其中，紫光股份以现金方式出资5658万美元，以紫光所持南京紫光云信息科技有限公司全部股权作价2400万美元，合计8058万美元，在合资公司中占股51%；西部数据以现金和实物方式出资7742万美元，获得余下49%的股权。
合资公司设董事会，由5名成员组成，其中紫光股份占3个席位，西部数据获得2个席位。董事长由紫光股份委派人员出任。目前，紫光股份董事会授权总裁齐联负责具体实施与合资公司设立相关的事宜并签署相关文件。
