　　2016年8月26日20时30分许，康乐县公安局景古镇派出所接到辖区群众报警称，阿姑山村老爷湾社一农户家5口人中毒，其中2人已死亡。

　　景古派出所民警接警后在拨打120急救中心组织施救的同时，县公安局调集警力迅速赶往现场展开调查取证工作。

　　与此同时，案情逐级上报后，州、县高度重视，立即派县级领导带领公安、卫计和乡镇主要负责人赶赴现场，对伤者进行抢救，对案件展开全面调查。

　　经现场勘查、痕迹物证鉴定，法医现场尸检，办案民警深入调查，初步确定是一起严重的刑事案件。

　　2016年8月26日下午18时许，杨改兰在其家房屋后一小路上用斧子将自己的4个子女：杨某帆（女，6岁，系因钝性物体作用头部致颅脑损伤死亡），杨某利（女，5岁，系因钝性物体作用头部致颅脑损伤死亡，肝破裂起加速死亡作用）、杨某清（男，5岁，系因钝性物体作用头部致颅脑损伤死亡）为双胞胎，杨某福（女，3岁，系因钝性物体作用头部致颅脑损伤死亡，肝破裂起加速死亡作用）致伤后服农药自杀。其中杨某利、杨某福当场死亡，杨某清在送往医院途中死亡，杨改兰、杨某帆被送往县医院进行抢救，杨某帆抢救无效死亡，杨改兰于当晚12时转往兰州大学第二附属医院进行救治，于29日凌晨0时55分死亡（死因系2、4-D丁酯中毒死亡）。

　　杨改兰等5人相继死亡后，县、镇、村干部组织本村群众帮助李某英（系杨改兰丈夫，上门女婿）妥善安葬了死者。对李某英本人县、镇、村干部专门上门进行了安抚慰问和心理疏导，李某英本人情绪稳定，但事发后第八天即9月4日，在阿姑山村树林发现李某英尸体，经公安机关侦查系服毒身亡。随后，死者也由县、镇、村干部组织村民进行了妥善安葬。
