近日，合肥中院对一个涉嫌盗窃罪的犯罪团伙唐水燕、房云云、林晓君、唐燕平四人，一审公开开庭审理并宣判。
据媒体报道，该盗窃团伙，专挑党政机关、事业单位领导干部下手，并安排处于怀孕或哺乳期的妇女，撬开领导的办公室或住所大门，实施盗窃。
而该团伙也只偷领导藏在办公室的香烟、购物卡、手表、手机、电脑、奢侈品、珠宝玉器、冬虫夏草，及成捆的现金等，并向纪委举报某些被盗官员。一些案件甚至惊动了中纪委及相关省份纪委，纪委人员曾专门找到唐水燕，了解被盗官员财产状况。
目前，已有多名贪腐官员或事业单位领导干部，因该盗窃团伙的偷盗行为曝光，或该团伙向纪委举报而落马。
据合肥中院判决，该系列案“幕后策划人”林晓君被判无期，唐水燕、房云云均获10年以上有期徒刑，唐燕平被判3年。

唐水燕四人，是从2006年开始作案，专盗党政官员、事业单位领导的办公室或住所，足迹遍布了浙江、河南、湖北、山西等多省。据合肥检方指控，最终认定唐水燕等四人盗窃团伙有25起盗窃。
该团伙利用贪腐官员巨额财产被盗后不敢报警的心理作案，专门偷走官员办公室或家中的香烟、购物卡、手表、手机、电脑、奢侈品、珠宝玉器、冬虫夏草，及成捆的现金等。
但四人“失足”在了2013年。
据媒体报道，2013年5月，唐水燕和房云云利用技术开锁方式进入了时任中国建设银行安徽省分行机构业务部副总经理张瑞红的家。张瑞红的丈夫是时任安徽银监局副局长胡沅。
房云云与唐水燕合伙盗走了张瑞红家的高档礼品、一摞摞购物卡等，价值近六十万元。

安徽省食药监局原副局长陈书华、贵州省农村信用社原理事长王术君、贵州省交通厅原厅长程孟仁等，都因团伙的盗窃，其贪腐行为被曝光。
唐水燕曾接受媒体采访时说，“他们都是贪官，我只偷他们的。他们一样是偷。”
“偷出来”的山西大贪官
上述盗窃团伙在官员家中盗窃时，还会将官员姓名牌与赃物合拍，留作证据，择时机向纪委举报，争取立功。这是受到山西焦煤集团原董事长、党委书记白培中案的启发。

据山西省纪委认定，除白培中本人及家属合法收入和其妻子两次开颅手术期间亲友援赠款项外，有84万余元财物涉及违纪，白培中被给予留党察看一年的处分。

2002年1月，宝鸡市原公安局长、党组书记范太民受审。他也是因小偷盗窃而遭查的官员。

2003年3月5日凌晨，贵州省长顺县原政协副主席、计划局局长胡方瑜一家正在梦乡熟睡之时，小偷从窗外将胡方瑜的裤子挑走。
