日本NHK电视台的专题节目《クローズアップ现代+》9月6号的节目中就专门潜入了中国的盗版工厂揭秘中国制造的超级盗版周边，这期节目的旁白邀请的是阿姆罗和星矢的声优古谷彻，节目也是从万代制作的圣衣神话系列周边的盗版货开始说起。

主持人首先在节目中拿出了两个圣衣神话白羊座穆的手办展示，让观众分辨哪个是正版哪个是盗版。

由于中国生产的盗版周边已经难以直观分辨，NHK的采访队伍就专门来到中探查中国的盗版市场。

而作为正版制作商的万代公司对于这些盗版质量十分惊讶，万代模型部的员工都难以一眼分辨出盗版。

最令他们惊讶的是盗版货的材质进步与维妙维肖的涂装，万代一直追踪盗版商品的动向，因此拿出了3年前的盗版手办进行了比较，发现在的盗版货质量跟3年前已经是天壤之别。

在节目最后节目嘉宾们讨论了中国盗版商品问题，其中提到虽然有上海这样富裕的大城市，但中国更多的地方消费力偏低，城乡经济差距太大，也让中国的盗版产品有着很大的市场。
