刘女士说，这是准备拿去北京做病毒实验的蚊子，事前并未向航空公司作出过运输申请。“见多识广”的安检员也是第一次遇到这么多蚊子乘机，于是立即联系航空公司，最后航空公司对此行李作了退运处理。
安检部门提醒旅客，托运家用宠物类活体动物须提前向航空公司申请，并提供有关检疫证明等材料。而对于用于研究的蚊子这类特殊生物，未经航空公司同意，将不能托运和随身携带。
