软件工程专业的注册费高达8250元，有什么特殊性？
山东大学作为首批学分制收费改革试点高校，根据《山东省教育厅关于申请山东大学实行学分制收费的函》、《关于山东省高等教育收费改革试点的意见》等政策文件，先后出台了《山东大学本科学生学籍管理规定》等系列文件，并从2013级学生起，实施学分制收费管理。

山东大学就此回应说，“软件工程是国家示范性软件园中的一个专业，其收费标准是根据山东省物价局、财政厅鲁价费发[2002]273号和山东省人民政府办公厅鲁政办发[2003]63号规定‘计算机软件学院高中起点全日制本科学费为12000元/生/年’。”
如果按学分制收费标准折算的话，（150学分÷4年）×100元/学分+8250元/年=12000元/生年，与学年制收费标准相同。
同样引起争议的是理工类中外办学的收费，一年2万左右的学费让部分学生直呼“上不起”。
据了解，山大中外合资办学的学费标准是按照《关于完善中外合作办学收费管理政策促进学校创新发展的通知》（鲁价费发[2015]93号）中的标准执行，理工农医体育类专业15000元/生学年，艺术类专业22000元/生学年，其他专业12000元/生学年。除此之外，办学机构可根据学校类别、合作国家、专业特色、办学质量等情况上下浮动，上浮不超过30%，下浮幅度不限。
另外，山东大学泰山学堂的学生与其他全日制本科学生都执行同样的收费标准。
与海大等“211”“985高校”相比，专业注册费为啥偏高？
作为部属学校，山东大学的学费情况，也经常被拿来与省内其他高校，如中国海洋大学等作比较。根据学分制改革的政策，学分制收费,是指按专业注册学费和学分学费两部分计收学费的收费管理制度。从专业注册费标准来看，山大确实比省内某些“985”、“211”大学略高，不过学费包含专业注册学费和学分学费，以四年制本科生为例，山东大学基本修业学分为140-150学分，学分学费为14000-15000元；而省内某些“985”、“211”大学学分为153-179学分，学分学费为15300-17900元。
山东大学回应，“我校学分学费比该高校学分学费明显偏低，综合计算双方学费相差无几。”
根据山东省物价局公布的《关于山东省高等教育收费改革试点的意见》，高校在改革过程中应控制基本学费标准，在同类高校同等专业年度学费标准基础上上浮不得超过10%。除此之外，文件还规定“‘211’、‘985’工程建设高校与普通高校学费标准的差距保持在15%左右，省属博士学位授予权高校、优质特色高校与其他高校学费标准的差距控制在5%左右”，这也是高校之间优化收费结构的重要举措，也是不少同学反映自己的学费两年翻了一番的原因之一。
根据山大的收费方式，其结算方式为学分学费在每学年开学时,按各专业年平均修读学分预收，实际结算时多退少补。多退少补金额体现在下一学年预收学分学费基础上的增加或减少，下一学年学费=每学年预收学费标准+（教务部门公示学分-基本修业学分÷基本修业年限）×学分学费标准。
部分学生反映多交的学费，是由其所选修读学分超出每年基本修业基本学分的原因导致，学生所选修读学分多，所交学分学费越多。
另外，针对学生大四外出实习一个学期不在校上课为何还要交学分的学费的问题，山东大学回应，“按学分收费是指学生修读培养方案的所有有学分的课程，包括论文和实习。学校把学费分成了注册费和学分费两部分，注册费体现了不同专业的收费差异，学分费全校执行统一的100元1个学分的标准，以便学生跨专业选课。没有考虑课程之间的收费差异问题。”
部分楼宇硬件设施相对较差，怎么办？

山东大学也对此做了回应，近几年山大已经对部分老旧公寓楼的学生房间、走廊、卫生间、洗刷间等进行全面改造，未来几年，还将大力对老旧公寓楼进行改造，同时在千佛山校区建设新的学生公寓楼已经列入学校规划。2015年下半年，学校决定在学生公寓安装空调。2016年7月底，各校区学生公寓的空调安装完毕，现已投入使用。
