今天的《安徽日报》刊登了一条讣告：老红军张靖武，因病于2016年9月20日在合肥逝世，享年99岁。
张靖武1918年出生于安徽霍山县，12岁参加革命，14岁入党并进入红25军，是名副其实的“红小鬼”。1934年，张靖武随红25军开始长征，担任通信员，他人小鬼大、腿脚勤快、办事利索，被战友们称为“张快腿”。
行军路中，张靖武得了重病，全身浮肿，不能吃饭，走不动路。连指导员、开国上将刘震怕他出事，打算给他二十块大洋、两匹布，留下休养。张靖武坚决不干：“我不回去，回去是死路一条！我确实病了，但我还活着，只要我活着一天，我就跟部队一天，虽然我不能直接去冲锋，但还可以帮助厨房烧火做饭、抬水，哪天要是死了，麻烦你们把我埋掉算了！”见他如此倔强，刘震就没再说什么，后来病竟奇迹般地好了。长征路上，艰难困苦数不胜数，张靖武都咬牙挺了过来。

1960年，伤痕累累的张靖武为了不拖累部队，谢绝了挽留，毅然转业到地方。后担任安徽农学院（现安徽农业大学）党委副书记。
