当地文管部门实地考察后结合县志等材料得出结论：没有保存价值。
古宅屋顶被扒落 工人感到惋惜
一 个月前，凌源市的李先生（化名）在凌源市政府附近遛弯。当他步行至市政府后身时，突然传来一声巨响，他寻声望去，发现位于此处的一间古宅屋顶被拆，粉尘四 起，瓦片纷纷坠落。对这处民宅的历史颇有研究的李先生的心也像被摔碎的瓦片一样，不由得一紧：这不是清代的老宅子吗，怎么说拆就拆了？
附近市民闻声赶来，连忙劝阻施工工人。“这么好的东西咋就拆了呢？”“市里现存就这一处老宅子，留着以后展览不也挺有意义的么？”“这姜家园子可以媲美山西的乔家大院，拆掉太可惜了。”大家纷纷对拆除古宅感到不解和惋惜。

昨日，记者来到位于凌源市政府后身的这处古宅——姜家园子。园内地面铺着红砖，院内花草丛生，一扇扇木窗随风咿呀作响，走近窗前还可以闻到一股股古木散发出来的淡淡幽香。
由于被列入拆迁范围，有的房屋屋顶已经被拆掉，但仍未拆除的房屋依然可以看出它的秀美。在一处墙角，镂刻着一个倒三角形的图案，上部为一段花枝，下部好似仙女在水中翩翩起舞，掀起了层层的浪花，整个画面非常精美，线条流畅清晰，保存得十分完整。
经从事文物古迹相关工作的李先生介绍，这处民宅始建于大概300年前，是清代建筑，目前共有7栋四合院，每栋四合院分别由3到5间民房组成，共计20余间民房，是凌源市唯一一处清代的古宅建筑。
84岁的姜大全是姜家第九代传人，从小便在老宅居住，对此他也非常的不舍。“老祖宗的东西在我手里没了，唉。”老人说话间有些哽咽。
老人翻出了姜家族谱，里面有关于老宅的最早记载：“姜家房契写，乾隆二十五年七月二十六日，曾祖姜御符买胡征吉房产。”指明了姜家老宅购于公元1760年，距今256年，老宅至少有256年的历史。
鼎盛时期，姜家共有7套17栋50间房屋，至今还剩下7栋25间房。
业内人士：
老宅做工精美有研究价值
据一位曾在文保部门工作过的业内人士介绍，姜家园子整体地基为条石铺设，房屋结构为前后走廊，有明抱柱，窗子为木格状，院落青砖铺地，二门门房有滚龙脊，地砖间为均匀的3毫米勾缝，可见当时做工的精美程度。
这位人士介绍，姜家园子在研究古老民宅的设计方面、住宅的舒适性等方面非常有意义，凌源经历过数次地震，但是老宅却一点裂缝都没有，从美观性及坚固性上也有一定的研究价值。
文管部门：没有保存价值
对这处古宅深有感情和研究的李先生与其他有着相同保留古宅想法的人一同向凌源市的文管部门说明了情况，希望能够将古宅保留下来。
记 者就此咨询了凌源市文管所，文管所孙姓所长介绍说：“我们调查过，在凌源最早的县志《塔子沟纪略》中并没有姜家园子这个名。1984年凌源出的县志中，老 建筑、老街道中也没有姜家园子这个名，2009年在全国第三次文物普查当中，它也没有列入文物保护名录，更不是保护单位，第三他（宅主人）也不是名人，不 是名人故居，2014年辽宁省还公布过几处历史古村落民居，凌源有7处，它也不是，就这几条来说它没有保存价值。”
记者将此结果告知了李先生和其他市民，李先生不住摇头叹息。李先生说，经过和工人的协商，拆除工作目前已经暂停，工人也非常珍惜老宅，把拆除下来的木料整齐地排放在一旁，几乎没有损毁，这样也方便日后的重建或者修复，如果能够把古宅保留下来，目前为时不晚。
