现在，联想发言人否认锁住设备以及阻止用户安装Linux的指控。联想发言人表示，联想没有提供标准的方式来处理RAID和AHCI模式，其主要目的是为了提高数据读写性能。

这位联想发言人称，联想没有阻止用户在其个人设备上安装其他操作系统，但是只有其他操作系统的相应驱动以及内核支持到位时，用户才可以在其设备上安装Linux系统。

对于联想的这一回应，用户似乎并不买账，因为他们目前根本无法从默认的RAID模式切换到AHCI模式，但是现在几乎所有主板/ BIOS系统都支持AHCI模式。
