对于姜家大院的去留，市里此前已经开过专题会议研究过，听取了文管部门的意见，还将再次会同文物部门研究决定下一步的工作。
文管所：尽最大努力保留
凌源市文管所孙姓所长昨日表示，早在2009年文物普查时，他们已经对姜家园子进行了勘查，但是那时院落已经有了很大改动，保留原貌的地方已经很少，很多房屋内部都是现代的风格，已经看不出原样。
“此前的工作和调查并未发现姜家的族谱，所以综合了凌源最早的县志《塔子沟纪略》以及其后的文献得出了姜家大院并无保存价值的结论。”孙所长说。
但是姜家提供的族谱说明了这套老宅的历史，孙所长表示将最大限度地保存现有老宅的部分，对留存得比较完整的院门和房屋争取予以保留，破坏得比较严重的地方争取留下比较有代表性的砖瓦，雕刻得精美的石墩墙砖等及时沟通其他部门，严格看管，避免流失，日后保存在库房之中。
由于条件的原因，凌源市并无专门的场馆展示文物古迹，孙所长表示，等待日后建起场馆后，会将这些东西展示出来，供市民参观。
