2016年辽宁省网络安全宣传周启动，9月22日，辽宁省公安机关开展了网络安全宣传周“法制日”活动。省公安厅与大连市公安局在大连几个点位举办的现场宣传活动中介绍了今年我省开展网上公开巡查执法工作中遇到的典型案例。
网上公开巡查执法工作开展一周年以来，全省公安机关网安部门共开展警示执法5089次，处置网上淫秽色情、诈骗、涉枪涉爆等违法犯罪信息2374条。同时，全省公安机关网安部门查处制造恐慌、转播虚假疫情谣言信息的违法网民195人，有效阻断了谣言违法信息传播。
