　　申进科指出，常态化前出西太平洋远海训练和警巡东海防空识别区，都是中国空军维护国家主权、保卫国家安全、保障和平发展的需要。

　　申进科介绍，这次远海训练，空军轰-6K、苏-30、加油机等多型战机成体系飞越宫古海峡。当天，40多架各型战机从部署机场快速完成出动准备，快速飞赴西太平洋开展训练，实施了侦察预警、海上突击、空中国和加拿大油等训练课目，检验空军部队远海实战能力。

　　此次空中警巡并不是空军首次。2013年11月23日，中华人民共和国东海防空识别区公布划设当天，空军就进行了首次空中警巡。在介绍“管控东海”情况时，申进科上周四在深圳国防论坛上指出，近3年来，空军按照《中华人民共和国东海防空识别区航空器识别规则公告》，一直保持常态化空中警巡。对进入防空识别区的外国军机进行了监视掌握和识别判性，根据不同空中威胁采取相应措施，维护了国家空防安全。划设东海防空识别区，是为保障国家空防安全提供足够的预警时间，其要义在于防卫，不针对任何特定国家和目标。
