Baidu Robin LI: 700 million Internet users create innovation, Chinese companies are more competitive than the Silicon Valley-Baidu, Robin Li-IT information
A few days ago, Baidu founder Robin Li, Chairman and CEO told CNBC in an interview, of the Chinese business environment, innovation in China's market advantage, technology trends, and to explain the problems of artificial intelligence. Mr Li said Chinese policies and regulations are reasonable, but the Internet that innovation always comes first, this space is essential for innovation. When talking about the contrast between Silicon Valley and China model, he thinks in the country is the world's largest Internet market, with more than 700 million Internet users, so the sooner China will meet all kinds of new problems, China still has strong competitiveness and innovative capacity of firms .
Li also in this interview about his artificial intelligence and the future of search engine marketing.

Unprecedented national attention to policy reserve for market innovations of the Internet space
Reporters : Robin, in your opinion, China's State policy in the current environment is to encourage, support and promote the emerging business and digital business?
Li : I get three times the past year XI Jinping met. Mr XI took part in last December's global Internet Conference, Internet Conference was held in Beijing, as well as many other activities. I noted that Mr XI was aware of the Internet's role in China's economic development. Prime Minister Li keqiang also recognize this point. I was lucky enough to met Prime Minister Li keqiang, his proposed "public innovation, millions of business" concept.
Reporter : in your area, whether you think of policies and regulations have to keep up with rapid market developments?
Li : I don't think so, but the policy is reasonable. After all, innovation always comes first, we have to let it develop for a while, explore possibilities, this space is essential for innovation. If the regulations came out, command you to what can be done and what cannot be done directly, there is no space.
Silicon Valley VS China
Reporter : do you think we will see the development of the Silicon Valley model in China in the future? Do you think this is the motivation that we need you?
Li : there are already many cities tried his hand at the Silicon Valley model of development, but without success.
Now, everywhere in generating new ideas, especially in China. We are the world's largest Internet market, with more than 700 million Internet users, so the sooner we will meet all kinds of new problems. When when you're faced with so many problems, will have to start innovation, find new solutions. That is why, although the largest Internet company remains the United States, but China still has strong competitiveness and innovative capacity of firms.
Transformation of the old and the new model AI-driven force to be reckoned with
Reporter : China is currently in transition from the old economy to the new economy and significant time, do you think there has been the stage of transformation?
Li : in China, we refer to this as the "new normal" economic driving forces begin shifting from cheap labor to high quality, high technology products, to play a better role. I think the Government have high hopes for the Internet, hope to rely on the Internet economy, we also need to look for new drivers for the Internet itself. For me, intelligence is the driving force of tomorrow. The past 5 or 6 years, we have been investing heavily in artificial intelligence and artificial intelligence may bring various expectations.
Search market already saturated? Voice, image search engine new
Reporter : what did China's search engine market approaching saturation point?
Li : really bad answer to this question. As I mentioned before, the Internet has permeated every aspect of people's lives, everyone has a Smartphone, we cannot continue to rely on dividend growth. I think that in the future, probably 5 years later, half the people will make use of voice, image search queries. Speech recognition accuracy is very high, reaching 97%, speech recognition is no problem, but most people still do not find it, they're afraid to voice search. After 3-5, I think people would agree that sound more natural, why use a keyboard? This innovation will attract more people to use our search engine.

互联网获国家空前重视政策为市场保留创新空间
记者: Robin,在您看来，中国的国家政策在当前的生态环境下是否足以鼓励、支持、推动新兴企业和数字企业？
李彦宏：过去一年我曾三次得到习近平主席的接见。习主席参加了去年12月的全球互联网大会，还在北京举办了互联网会议以及许多其他活动。那时我就注意到，习主席已经意识到了互联网对中国经济发展的作用。李克强总理也认识到了这一点。我有幸见过几次李克强总理，正是他提出了“大众创新、万众创业”的理念。
记者：在您的领域，您觉得政策法规是否已经跟得上市场快速的发展？
李彦宏：我觉得没有，但其实各项政策也是合理的。毕竟总是创新先出现，我们得由着它发展一阵子，探索各种可能性，这是创新的产生所必须的空间。如果法规先出来了，直接命令你什么能做什么不能做，就没有创新空间了。
硅谷模式VS中国创新
记者：您觉得未来我们会在中国看到硅谷模式的发展吗？您觉得这是我们所需要的激励模式吗？
李彦宏：已经有许多城市尝试过硅谷的发展模式，但都没有取得成功。
现在，各个地方都在产生新的创意，尤其是中国。我们是世界上最大的互联网市场，拥有超过七亿的网民，所以我们会更早地遇见各种各样的新问题。当你面对着这么多问题的时候，就不得不开始创新、找出新的解决途径。这就是为什么虽然最大的互联网公司依然是美国的，但是中国的公司依旧具有强大的竞争力和创新能力。
新旧经济模式转型AI驱动力量不可忽视
记者：中国目前正处于从旧经济模式向新经济转型的重大时期，您觉得现在转型已经进行到哪个阶段了？
李彦宏：在中国，我们把这个称为“新常态”，经济驱动力开始从廉价劳动力转向高质量、高科技的产品，以发挥更好的作用。我认为政府对互联网寄予厚望，希望依靠互联网拉动经济，而我们也需要为互联网自身寻找新的驱动力。对我来说，人工智能就是未来的驱动力。过去5、6年，我们一直大力投资人工智能，而且对人工智能带来的各种可能充满期待。
搜索市场已饱和？语音、图像为搜索引擎带来新可能
记者：请问中国的搜索引擎市场接近饱和状态了吗？
李彦宏：这个问题还真不好回答。正如我之前提过的，互联网已经渗透到人们生活的各个方面，每个人都有智能手机，我们再也不能继续依靠人口红利来增长。我认为，未来，可能5年后，一半的人会利用语音、图像来进行搜索查询。语音识别器的准确率已经很高，达到97%，语音识别已经不存在什么问题，但大多数人依然没有发现这一点，他们害怕用语音进行搜索。三到五年后，我相信人们会认为语音更自然，为什么还要用键盘打字？这样的创新会吸引人们更多地使用我们的搜索引擎。
