　　据新京报此前报道，今年5月18日凌晨，38岁的河南方城籍男子王锋家所在的单元楼着火，在安顿好妻儿后，王锋三入火海，救出多名邻居，自己被大面积烧伤，随后入院治疗。一周之内，社会各界共向其捐款超过221万元。面对从各地持续汇来的捐款，王锋的妻子潘品在接受新京报记者采访时喊停了捐款：“钱已基本够用，拜托大家别再捐了。”潘品说，不愿意看到大家的爱心被浪费，希望善款可以救助更多需要帮助的人。

　　今年7月12日，王锋从南阳南石医院，转院至解放军总医院第一附属医院治疗。10月1日下午4时37分，由于多脏器衰竭，王锋在解放军总医院第一附属医院烧伤整形科一病区去世。
