24小时和蛇在一起的“蛇女”
这家养蛇基地位于江宁秣陵，曾是江苏蛇类养殖示范区。负责人陈女士今年40多岁，5年前，她在这里租了3000平方米的场地办了养殖场开始了实验性养殖。最多时她曾养了1000多条蛇，大王蛇、乌梢蛇、赤链蛇、中国水蛇和黑眉蝮蛇、眼镜蛇都养过。
陈女士和丈夫以养殖场为家，24小时和蛇在一起，她戏称自己为“蛇女”。她原本很害怕蛇，但多年前一种蛇泡的药酒治好了她一位好友久治不愈的风湿病，一下子让陈女士对蛇产生了浓厚的兴趣。原本做服装批发生意的她决定改行，曾专程去山东一家养蛇场学习过。

养殖场“戒备森严”，堪比监狱
陈女士介绍说，养蛇场一般建在地势高且干燥、平坦、排水性能良好的地方。不宜建在山顶和高岗上，更不宜建在低洼地和常年很潮湿的地方。因为场地要开阔才能空气流通、新鲜。如果空气污浊，轻则蛇场生产力下降，重则导致蛇的发病死亡。
在该养殖基地，记者注意到内场主要分两大区域：一块是无毒蛇养殖区，采用的是暂养法养殖，模拟野生环境露天养殖，让蛇自由的生长。在院子里用红砖搭建起一个个“蛇窝”，然后种上树木和野草。
“一般几两重的蛇过来，在这里暂养几个月，到秋天时就把它卖掉。”陈女士介绍说，暂养区的防护措施很重要，他们有三道防护措施，包括大门、院墙 等。目的就是为了防止蛇逃跑。记者在现场看到：除了两层高大的院墙让蛇无法翻越外，养殖场每处下水道口都装有间隙很小的铁丝滤网，让蛇无法逃跑。
另一块区域是毒蛇养殖区，这是整个基地防护最严密的区域。在打开两道大铁门后，记者跟着陈女士进到一间平房内，房间还有一层厚厚的夹芯板搭建的 密室，里面装了空调和取暖器。陈女士介绍，眼镜蛇等毒蛇属于热带蛇，必须采用无冬眠养殖法，养在这样有多道安保措施的“密室”里，里面必须保持恒温恒湿。 眼镜蛇平时都养殖在蛇床上，四周罩上1.5米高的白色帐子。
陈女士说，眼镜蛇并不是很活跃的动物，一般超过1米高的障碍物就无法翻越。不过为保险起见，他们将蛇床四周的帐子设为1.5米高，此外还有五道防护措施。

手续难办，但利润很高

她介绍说，正因为证照难办，在南京能正规养殖眼镜蛇的人很少。但因为有高利润，还是有不少人在私下违规养殖眼镜蛇等蛇类。据介绍，眼镜蛇除了卖 给药厂做药，还深受饭店的喜爱，还有不少人喜欢用眼镜蛇泡酒。用眼镜蛇泡的酒在市场上能卖到大几千元一斤，而其所用的白酒一般都是普通酒甚至是劣质酒，根 本不值钱。“（眼镜蛇泡的酒）能卖到五六千元一斤，可能都不止。”
据了解，要想合法饲养眼镜蛇等蛇类，养殖场必须要到林业部门提交申请，办理“国家重点保护野生动物驯养繁殖许可证”。但林业部门对于蛇类养殖场的态度一般是“不提倡”。对于以“销售”为目的的养殖场一般不予审批，除非养殖场具有一定的科研价值。
俗话说“物以稀为贵”，既然手续难办，所以正规由人工饲养的眼镜蛇就很少了，能卖到高价也就不奇怪了。不过她之前饲养的蛇大多数是无毒蛇，而且 大都是南京本地就有的种类。除了眼镜蛇，她还养过150多条蝮蛇。据陈女士介绍，她养过的蛇大都以药用为主，只有大王蛇、眼镜蛇等少数可以作为“肉蛇”。

遇蛇别惊慌，万一被咬应原地呼救
陈女士提醒说：根据她多年养蛇的经验，蛇类一般不会主动攻击人类，市民遇到蛇时，一定要保持冷静，缓慢离开，或者等蛇自行离开。
陈女士说，自己经常被蛇咬，不过大都是无毒蛇，被咬后擦点消毒药就可以了。如果市民被蛇咬了，千万不要试图用手强行把蛇拽走，这样蛇可能咬得更猛，最好等蛇自己松口。如果不幸被毒蛇咬了，千万不要跑动，那样会加快血液流动，中毒更快，应该在原地呼救。
