　　2014年初，四川省眉山市公安机关在工作中发现，江口镇岷江河道附近有人利用专业设备，夜间潜入“江口沉船金银遗址”河道区域盗挖，并将盗取的文物卖给文物贩子获取暴利。

　　眉山市公安机关立即抽调精干警力组成专案组进行侦办。经过一段时间的细致侦查和摸排，专案组初步查明此案涉及多个盗掘、倒卖文物犯罪团伙，他们大肆盗掘“江口沉船金银遗址”文物，并进行倒卖，涉及中国10多个省市。

　　案情上报后，中国公安部高度重视，将此案列为部督案件，并多次听取案件情况汇报，研究确定工作方案，全程指挥案件侦破工作，同时派员赴四川省眉山市指导案件调查、取证和侦办工作。

　　从2015年4月开始，在中国公安部直接指挥下，四川省公安机关先后投入精干警力3000余人次，辗转10多个省市，行程10余万公里，进行多轮收网行动，共抓获犯罪嫌疑人70名，追回了“虎钮永昌大元帅金印”等一大批国家珍贵文物，狠狠地打击了文物犯罪分子的嚣张气焰，有力地保护了国家文物安全。

　　作案长达4年 被盗文物价值上亿

　　从检察院方面也透露出此案更多细节。该案系多个团伙作案，涉案人员众多。作案时间从2011年至2015年4月，长达4年之久；涉案文物据专家初步估计，一级以上珍贵文物有多件，其中有金狮、金印、金册子等，其价值估计过亿。

　　其中主要涉案人员有彭山人王某、何某某涉嫌盗掘古文化遗址罪。湖北人袁某某、成都人杜某某涉嫌倒卖文物罪。至此，张献忠沉宝在彭山区境内这一考古谜团终于逐渐浮出水面。

　　中国公安部有关负责人表示，近年来，文物犯罪日趋专业化、智能化、隐蔽化，作案手段和犯罪工具不断升级，给文物保护工作和公安机关侦查破案带来诸多困难。公安机关将积极创新打法，转变侦查方式，始终保持对文物犯罪的高压严打态势，全力遏制文物犯罪活动的多发势头。同时，会同文物管理部门不断完善打击和防范文物犯罪联合长效工作机制，加强协作配合，打防管控多管齐下，提高群众文物保护意识，切实保护国家文物安全。

　　专家确认眉山江口确有沉船金银

　　“江口沉船金银遗址”位于四川眉山市彭山区江口镇的岷江河道内，2010年被公布为眉山市级文物保护单位，分布面积100万平方米，清代以来的文献中多记载明末大西军领袖张献忠曾沉船金银于此。当地民间也一直流传一首古老的民谣：“石龙对石虎，金银万万五，谁人识得破，买到成都府”。

　　张献忠是中国历史上的明末农民军领袖，与李自成齐名。其曾在成都建立大西政权，年号大顺。史学界对张献忠“江口沉银”的记载一直存有争议。

　　《蜀难纪实》中对沉船金银有更多细节的记载：“张献忠部队从水路出川时，由于银两太多，木船载不下，于是张献忠命令工匠做了许多木头的夹槽，把银锭放在里面，让其漂流而下，打算在江流狭窄的地段再打捞上来。但后来部队遭到阻击，江船阻塞江道，所以大部分银两沉入江中。”

　　2015年12月，中国文物考古专家基本确认彭山“江口沉船金银遗址”，为张献忠沉船金银中心区域之一。
