组委会透露，在现场参与大会的4万人中，80后和90后占比约八成，企业管理层占比超过15%，大会共举办102场峰会和分论坛，来自全球的近400家科技公司展出科技成果，人工智能技术在公共管理、天文科学等领域的新应用实践备受关注。
杭州市政府在大会上公布，为杭州市安装一个人工智能中枢——杭州城市数据大脑。城市大脑的内核采用阿里云ET人工智能技术，可以对整个城市进行全局实时分析，自动调配公共资源，最终将进化成为能够治理城市的超级人工智能。同时，中科院国家天文台与阿里云宣布结为战略合作伙伴，阿里云将被应用于天体物理研究领域，提升中国在天文学领域的基础科研能力。
