实际上，已经有公司在进行这方面的尝试了。在今年的IDF上，Intel展示了一款WiGig VR头盔的原型，基于Oculus DK2。头显被一个3D打印的外壳包裹着，里面有接收WiGig信号的扩展坞；在另一端，Intel对一台外星人主机进行了改造，在上面装了一个黑色的扩展盒。据工程师透露，两者的传输距离为5米左右。

不过WiGig无线头盔要达到有线传输的稳定性与低延时，仍然还有一些问题需要解决。但包括Valve和HTC在内都在进行相关的研究。
