India plans to launch a rocket carrying 83 satellite next year-IT information

But send 83 satellites at the same time on the same track is no easy thing. ISRO will use XL polar satellite launch vehicles (PSLV-XL) to accomplish this mission.

According to Sasibhushan sources, when XL polar satellite launch vehicles (PSLV-XL) the total load up to 1600 kg. On the grounds of confidentiality agreements, Sasibhushan declined to give more details about 83 satellites. Only that there already is ISRO's "old customers".

The rocket is tentatively scheduled for launch in January 2017.

如今,ISRO似乎又有了新的目标。据印度太空研究组织(ISRO)下属的商业宇航公司Antrix的一位高级官员透露,印度太空研究组织(ISRO)希望能创造一个世界纪录,那就是用一艘火箭将83颗绕轨道卫星送到指定位置。这些卫星里只有2颗是印度卫星,其余81颗均为他国卫星。

Antrix公司董事总经理Rakesh Sasibhushan称,在2017第一季度公司将用一艘火箭发射83颗卫星,其中他国卫星多为微型卫星。所有83颗卫星将在同一轨道上运行,因此不存在火箭在太空中“走走停停”的问题。

但要把83颗卫星同时送到同一轨道上也不是件容易的事情。ISRO将利用XL极轨卫星运载火箭(PSLV-XL)执行此次发射任务。

据Sasibhushan透露,届时XL极轨卫星运载火箭(PSLV-XL)的总负载将达到1600 kg。以保密协议为由,Sasibhushan拒绝透露更多关于83颗卫星的细节。只说有些已经是ISRO的“老顾客”了。

该火箭暂定于2017年1月发射。
