Li XiangChao和他的团队利用人工闪电产生设备可以制造任意大小的雷击,电流强度在5000安培到5万安培之间。产生的人工雷击温度最高达到1.7万华氏度(约合9426.6摄氏度),是太阳表面温度的两倍。

而为了应对温度计爆表的问题,Li XiangChao团队通过测量光在不同波长时的强度计算出闪电的温度。

最终,经过反复实验得出结论,闪电的电流与温度存在很高的对数关系。也就是说,1000安培的雷击与1万安培雷击之间的温差与1万安培雷击与10万安培雷击之间的温差差不多。这一结果为此前缺乏数据支持的理论推测提供了确凿的证据。
