　　“胖五”花十年研究，但比长征六号和长征七号这些兄弟们更晚出任务，足见其难度之大、风险之高。

　　不过，“胖五”却比现役火箭的运载能力提升2.5倍以上，“胖五”用到的推力大、比冲高的120吨液氧煤油发动机，曾被外国专家认为，大陆能设计出来，也不可能制造出来。

　　中国航天科技集团公司副总经理杨保华说，长征五号不仅象征着长征系列火箭的升级换代，而且带动产业链更新，对构建新一代无毒、无污染运载火箭的型谱发挥牵引和辐射作用。
