阿琼是一名在校大学生，去年，阿琼寻思着想考雅思。但对于阿琼来说，想通过雅思考试还是有些难度。就在她为此苦恼不已的时候，有朋友给她推荐了一个叫王春的人，说这个人有门路，能弄到雅思考题。因为是朋友推荐，阿琼觉得可以一试，于是就加了对方的微信。

发现上当受骗后，阿琼和同学气愤之余，决定抓住王春，并要回钱款。阿琼让另一位同学阿齐加了王春的微信，谎称要买考试材料，但要当面交易。虽然王春觉得奇怪，但还是如期赴约了。10月11日，双方在约定的地点见面，阿齐确定了对方是王春本人后，和同去的同学一起将他拦下，不让其离开，同时拨打110报警，民警到达后将众人带回了派出所。到案后，王春对自己的作案行为供认不讳。
据王春交代，他萌生卖假雅思试题赚钱也是偶发的念头。他本人1995年出生，是一名刚满20岁的在校大学生，自己平时也在关注雅思考试，经常上网搜查资料。一次偶然的机会，他在贴吧里看到有人在卖雅思考试预测试题及答案，还有很多人在留言询问。他转念一想，“我也可以卖试题啊，反正又没人知道真假。”于是，他就在贴吧里发布提供雅思考题的信息及他的联系方式。没想到不久后真的有个女孩联系他，也就是阿琼。他在微信上反复强调能通过内部人员搞到雅思考试的考题和答案，绝对真实可靠。
也许正是他这种“笃定”的态度让阿琼信以为真了，轻而易举地赚到了35000元，其实，他发给阿琼的“考题”只是他在贴吧里随意下载了的份预测试题及答案。在被抓获后，王春将钱款退还给了阿琼。(本文涉案人员均为化名)
