中国第四颗地球同步轨道数据中继卫星成功发射
2016年11月22日23时24分04秒，中国在西昌卫星发射中心使用长征三号丙运载火箭成功将天链一号04星送入太空。
天链一号04星是中国第四颗地球同步轨道数据中继卫星，将与天链一号01星、02星、03星实现全球组网运行，为中国神舟飞船、空间实验室、空间站提供数据中继与测控服务，支持空间交会对接任务，同时为中国中、低轨道资源卫星提供数据中继服务，为航天器发射提供测控支持。
西昌卫星发射中心自1984年执行第一次发射任务以来，先后共发射了百余颗不同类型卫星，创造了成功发射中国第一颗试验通信卫星、第一颗实用通信卫星、第一颗国际商务卫星、第一颗月球探测卫星、第一颗中继卫星、第一枚大推力捆绑式运载火箭等中国航天史上多个“第一”，为中国航天发射走向高轨、走向世界、走向深空做出了突出贡献。
天链一号04星和长征三号丙运载火箭，分别由中国航天科技集团公司所属中国空间技术研究院、中国运载火箭技术研究院研制。此次任务是长征系列运载火箭的第241次飞行。
