高士超对澎湃新闻说，负责施工的管理人员没有受伤，怀疑“可能是混凝土强度没达到造成”。
上述工程部相关负责人说，河北亿能烟塔工程有限公司于2016年4月开始到丰城电厂进行3期工程施工，共有60余名施工人员在现场。至于事故发生是否因赶工期、操作违规或混凝土强度没达到，其表示目前正在救援，“事发原因还在调查，我也不好说。”
