Former Chairman of Guangdong power grid bribery 13.33 million sentenced to 13-3 million

Yesterday was informed that the Beijing Intermediate Court of first instance sentenced Liao Jianhua to 13 years of imprisonment on charges of bribery, and sentenced to a fine of 3 million Yuan.

Liao Jianhua, now 53 years old in December 2008, the Guangdong power grid company party Secretary and Deputy General Manager, in February 2011, General Manager of Guangdong power grid Corporation, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. In 2013, Chairman, Party Secretary of Guangdong power grid Corporation, 2014, Vice General Manager of China Southern power grid in October 2014, be removed from Office.

The Court found, during the 2005 to 2007, and Liao Jianhua as the Yunnan power grid Corporation Deputy General Manager duties, bribes amount equivalent to RMB 13.3354 million Yuan.

Court believes that Liao Jianhua who national staff, demand or illegally accepting other people's property, for the benefit of others, their behavior constituted bribery. In a first instance of taking bribes and sentenced Liao Jianhua sentenced to 13 years and fined 3 million Yuan. Put on seizure of more than 12.53 million Yuan confiscated, surplus offset a fine.

广东电网原董事长受贿1333万 获刑13年罚300万

　　京华时报讯（记者王晓飞）广东电网公司原董事长廖建华利用职务上的便利，为多家公司承揽项目提供帮助，索要和收受多家企业给予的贿赂款1333万余元。记者昨日获悉，北京市一中院一审以受贿罪判处廖建华有期徒刑13年，并处罚金300万元。

　　现年53岁的廖建华于2008年12月担任广东电网公司党委书记、副总经理，2011年2月担任广东电网公司总经理，党委副书记。2013年任广东电网公司董事长、党委书记，2014年任中国南方电网有限公司副总经理，2014年10月被免职。

　　法院审理查明，2005年至2007年期间，廖建华利用担任云南电网有限责任公司副总经理的职务便利，受贿金额共计折合人民币1333.54万元。

　　法院审理认为，廖建华身为国家工作人员，索取、非法收受他人财物，为他人谋取利益，其行为已构成受贿罪。一中院一审以受贿罪，判处廖建华有期徒刑13年，并处罚金300万元。在案扣押的1253万余元予以没收，剩余款项折抵罚金。
