台湾媒体引述台湾防务部门发言人陈中吉说，台军派遣战机执行警戒任务，以“不引发事端、不升高冲突”原则严密监控台湾周边海、空域动态，确保安全。
陈中吉未进一步说明双方军机数目、机型等监控情况，以及解放军军机飞越巴士海峡的路径。
日本防卫省统合幕僚监部则说，11月25日上午，中国轰-6轰炸机和情报收集机等四架军机在太平洋朝西北飞行并飞越宫古海峡，然后飞往东海方向。
防卫省称，在同一时段，从反方向飞越海峡的两架苏-30战斗机折返，再度通过宫古海峡与轰-6等四架飞机汇合，然后返回东海方向，期间“未侵犯日本领空”。
中国官方媒体引述解放军空军发言人申进科大校说：“这次远海训练是中国空军年度训练计划内的例行性安排，符合相关国际法和国际实践，不针对任何特定国家、地区和目标，合法、合理、合情。”
他说：“中国空军是战略性军种，战略能力要与国家利益相适应。空军将继续组织常态化远海训练，进一步锻炼和拓展空军部队远海体系能力，维护国家主权、保卫国家安全、保障和平发展。”
