China has successfully developed EB-class cloud storage system: to meet large data storage requirements-IT information

中国国家863计划云计算关键技术与系统(二期)项目课题验收会11月29日在天津召开,由中国高性能计算领军企业中科曙光承担的“EB级云存储系统研制”课题通过技术验收。

为促进中国云计算核心软硬件产品的研发,“十二五”国家863计划信息技术领域“云计算关键技术与系统(二期)”重大项目于2013年2月正式批准实施,其中包括“EB级云存储系统研制”等多个课题。

随着云计算、互联网、移动终端和物联网的迅猛发展,信息数据爆炸性增长,传统的云平台的存储架构已经无法解决如此大数据量的存储落地需求。据中科曙光介绍,“EB级云存储系统研制”课题针对传统存储架构无法满足大数据量存储落地需求的问题,研制出具有超强的EB级扩展性和支持千亿级文件存储能力的新型存储系统。该系统采用可在线增缩、自动负载均衡的柔性架构平台设计,将平面数据提升到多层设计;采用先进的容错架构、高效的数据容错算法,配合用户认证和数据加密策略,用于应对数据的“丢”“错”和“偷”的问题,保证了系统的可靠性和安全性

据了解,在“EB级云存储系统研制”课题研究成果的基础上,中科曙光2014年建立了国内首家EB级云存储实验室。

“三年来,除了进行技术突破性的研究之外,存储实验室还将各行业云的实际存储需求在实验环境中进行模拟和印证,开展了一系列的大规模云计算示范应用。”中科曙光副总裁沙超群说。

课题验收专家组组长、上海交通大学教授管海兵表示,EB级云存储系统作为下一代云计算关键技术和系统重大项目体系的重要组成部分,是云计算系统的关键基础设施,对云计算系统的运行效率、可靠性、可用性和安全性等各项性能指标有着至关重要的影响。它的成功研制,不仅意味着中国在云计算基础装备上取得核心技术突破,对保障中国云计算基础环境的安全可控具有重要意义。
