不做外卖，对餐厅影响有多大呢？目前，美团外卖、百度外卖等其他APP上还能搜到狗肉餐馆，这些APP上显示，狗肉餐馆月销量平均在300-500份左右，假设客单价为50元，则一家狗肉餐馆每月可通过外卖渠道最高获得25000元收入，而一家二三线城市小餐馆一般月收入在5-10万元，则外卖最多可占到其总收入的50%。可想而知，切断了外卖渠道，对餐馆影响之大。因此，饿了么的做法，将一定程度上倒逼餐馆转型经营狗肉以外的餐品，这样偷狗、毒狗的狗贩子也就失去了市场。

从社会效益上看，这次行动也起到了很好的宣传作用。虽然饿了么官方称，下架狗肉是出于食品安全原因，并没有专门提到保护狗只，但因为事件受到广泛关注，这次下架也让更多人认识并关心狗只严峻的生存环境，推动保护动物的意识深入人心。

除了外卖平台，控制狗肉销售，其实还可以从一些消费决策平台入手，比如我们常用的大众点评网。这些平台完全可以将餐厅信息与食药监对接，将用户在APP投诉的信息流转到监管部门，促使政府主动发现、查处那些通过不法途径获得狗肉的餐馆，达到救助无辜狗狗的目的。
