　　侵华日军南京大屠杀遇难同胞纪念馆内，聚集了幸存者及遗属、部队官兵、学校学生、国际友好人士等各界人士。

　　初冬晨曦中，人们裹着厚重的素色衣装，披着白色雨衣，佩戴白色胸花，为反战与和平的集会而来。

　　举行公祭仪式所在地——南京大屠杀遇难同胞纪念馆，位于南京老城南的水西门大街418号，是江东门“万人坑”遗址。馆中，仍向世人陈列着原址挖掘出的遇难者皑皑白骨。

　　十时整，公祭仪式正式开始。雄壮的《义勇军进行曲》在广场上响起，全场高唱中华人民共和国国歌。
