12月21日15时许，轨道公交徐家汇站治安派出所巡逻民警发现站厅内有一名女子正在以这样的方式乞讨。而近期上海轨道区域内发生了不少类似的情况，尤其是在客流量较大的车站。一些人声称是“借”几元车费，承诺一定会“还”，然而这些钱几乎全部有去无回。
民警当下判断，该女子很可能涉嫌以此为由进行诈骗，于是上前盘查。面对民警询问，向乘客“借钱”的女子闪烁其词，于是民警将其带入警务室进行进一步询问。
经查，犯罪嫌疑人王某某承认自己虚构钱包丢失，向过往乘客讨要路费回家，并答应会及时归还。而被害人则通过微信转账的形式将钱转给王某某。
民警翻看王某某的手机记录取证时发现，她在当天四处找人“借”5元车费，实际上微信中收入显示已“借”到160元。此外，她还与同伙，以同样的方式于12月16日、17日、20日共骗取7名被害人3000余元。
根据王某某供述，民警在一旅馆内将其他3名同伙抓获。经审讯，嫌疑人姜某、张某、王某、王某某均承认多次结伙实施这样的小额诈骗的行为，合计涉案诈骗金额7000余元。目前姜某等4人均被刑事拘留。
