2016年11月底，青海省茫崖戈壁深处，几名捡石爱好者发现一个人体白骨遗骸。他的遗物清晰可辨，信件、报纸、手电筒、帆布包等随身物经过鉴定，很快翻出一段尘封50多年的历史，疑似四川巴中人的李中华在50多年前，背着帆布包最终倒在了茫茫戈壁……12月12日，经青海警方DNA鉴定，证实遗骸正是四川巴中市巴州区龙背乡失踪人员李中华。

今日，也就是2017年的第一天，茫崖60年代“大浪滩”失踪人员李中华踏上了回家的路程，青海茫崖行委公安局将李中华遗骸、遗物移交给了专程赶到青海的李中华两名亲属。
记者联系茫崖公安局了解到，2016年12月23日，他们确定DNA身份后不久，收到了四川巴中市公安局巴州区分局鼎山派出所发来的“协助函”和“情况说明”，确认李中华妻子邓光明安排长女婿杨庭吉带一名亲属前往青海茫崖，领取遗骸和遗物。
12月30日，杨庭吉一行两人乘坐四川航空3U8569航班到达甘肃省敦煌市。介于两人年龄均超过60岁，第一次来青藏高原，人生地不熟，茫崖公安局雇佣专车和经验丰富的师傅前往敦煌迎接。31日，克服道路大雪结冰灾害天气，下午5时许到达茫崖行委花土沟镇，联系两人住宾馆并安排了晚饭，购买了氧气袋，预防高原反应。
1月1日清晨，刑警大队工作组向杨庭吉二人介绍了“大浪滩”失踪人员李中华的发现情况、青川警方协作寻找、DNA检材的提取及鉴定等情况，杨庭吉对青海警方和四川警方表达了真挚的感谢。在刑警大队物证室，工作人员向杨庭吉一一展示了遗物。在移交物品清单签字确认后，将遗骸和遗物规整包装好，全部移交给李中华亲属，并嘱咐妥善保管书信等珍贵遗物。新年元旦的日子，在“大浪滩”无人区风吹日晒50多年的“李中华”，终于踏上魂归四川故里的路程。
鉴于邓光明家中困难，茫崖行委公安局还组织了献爱心，把工作人员捐赠的5000元现金送到杨庭吉手中，并支付来回敦煌的包车费用。
