　　中国网郑州1月3日电（记者 曹中原） 2017年1月3日上午，河南省许昌市中级人民法院公开宣判驻马店市原市委书记刘国庆受贿案，认定被告人刘国庆犯受贿罪，判处无期徒刑，剥夺政治权利终身，并处没收个人全部财产；已扣押的涉案赃款赃物上缴国库，不足部分继续予以追缴。

　　许昌市中级人民法院审理查明：被告人刘国庆利用其先后担任河南省公安厅副厅长、驻马店市市长、中共驻马店市市委书记的职务便利，为他人在承揽工程、职务调整提拔、土地开发等事项上提供帮助，非法收受他人财物，共计折合人民币6799万元及港币10万元。

　　许昌市中级人民法院认为，被告人刘国庆身为国家工作人员，利用职务上的便利，非法收受他人财物，为他人谋取利益，其行为已构成受贿罪。刘国庆受贿数额特别巨大，依法应予严惩，量刑时综合考虑其归案后认罪、悔罪，退出部分赃款，主动检举揭发他人犯罪行为，有立功表现等情节，根据其犯罪性质、事实、情节及对社会的危害程度，依法作出上述判决。

　　宣判后，被告人刘国庆当庭表示不服，提出上诉。

　　被告人刘国庆的近亲属，省市人大代表、政协委员、新闻媒体记者及各界群众40余人旁听了宣判。
