中国经济网北京1月6日讯（记者杜芳）今天从“新一代宽带无线移动通信网”重大专项新闻发布会上获悉：中国移动通信发展已经实现了从“2G跟随”、“3G突破”到“4G同步”的跨越，4G用户总数达7.34亿户，4G基站总数达249.8万个，中国已建成全球规模最大的4G网络。
工信部信息通信发展司司长闻库在会上表示，中国4G不但实现了产业化和全球规模商用，而且产业研发能力显著增强，已经形成了4G系统、终端、芯片、仪表等完整产业链。此外，中国移动通信行业国际标准参与度显著提升，中国主导制定的TD-LTE-Advanced成为4G国际标准之一。
闻库说，下一步，中国将在5G方面，推动形成全球统一的5G标准，基本完成5G芯片及终端、系统设备研发，推动5G支撑移动互联网、物联网应用融合创新发展，为2020年启动5G商用奠定基础；在LTE增强技术方面，重点支持LTE增强关键技术、终端芯片等产业链薄弱环节的研发。
