12月6日下午15时，人民网陕西频道记者从延安市公安局了解到，12月3日在延安市刑警支队院内，带头强行开走应返还豪华车辆的涉事民警，被延安市公安局做出辞退处理。
12月6日，延安市公安局召开局长办公会议，听取了延安市公安局纪工委对12月3日民警薛延河强行开走返还车辆事件调查情况的汇报。会议认为，薛延河身为公安民警，置警令法规不顾，参与营利性的经营活动，特别是12月3日，与其连襟李进林等十余人将公安机关返还车辆中的两辆车强行开走，在社会上造成恶劣影响。
延安市公安局依据《人民警察法》第二十二条第10项之规定，并根据《公安机关人民警察辞退办法》第五条第5项之规定，决定对薛延河予以辞退。
延安市公安局局长办公会议要求，延安市宝塔分局南市派出所对参与12月3日强行开走返还车辆的涉案人员依法调查处理。(人民网陕西频道新闻调查部)
